Russ Kellett Promotions

Bernie and Russ met a few years ago through the jamm nights. Since then they have become firm friends and Bernie is now giving Russ a hand with his current and future projects!

Just like Russ, Bernie has been a busy man over the last 25 years!

Bernie has played in various bands over the last few years. He retired from the music scene in 1981, but came out of retirement in 2001 to play with the successful “Weekend at Bernie’s”. Since then he has played with Road Hogs, Skandal, and Jackhammer...

During Bernie’s break from the music scene he travelled for roughly 10 years, firstly in and around Australia. From as far as Perth, and Darwin, to the beautiful Whitsundays, he also worked on site in the outback, deep in the heart of Queensland. After seeing so much of this country, Bernie headed overseas to explore places like New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, and from there travelled extensively throughout Europe, from as far north as Scotland and Finland, to Poland, Czech and Slovakia and then Yugoslavia. After residing in Rotterdam, Hamburg, then London for a couple of years, he headed off to America for a while. Then Bernie finally headed back home. All in all, he visited over twenty countries on an amazing journey.

When Bernie decided he’d travelled enough, he made his home back here in Melbourne. He started his own steel fabrication business that has been going strong for 15 years now. Bernie shares his home with 2 black kelpies, Mr. Spock and Beam Me Up Scottie, and says they are his great mates!
